So, today my friend Alianne and I went shopping down in Montrose. This place is fantastic, in every way shape and form. There are clusters of adorable and reasonably priced little stores, cute little cafes on every street corner, and Austin-type people EVERYWHERE. It's a very exciting place. I hardly get to go to Montrose with my lack of motorized transportation, and it being 20-ish minutes toward downtown, but when I do get to go it's definitely worth it.

It was a rather eventful night.
After much bargain shopping, we decided to head to a little cafe called Brazil for something to eat, but then all of a sudden we heard screaming down the street a short ways. At first I thought it was some group of girls kidding around, but then it got louder and more hysterical, and there were tires screeching, so my friend and I ran toward the noise as fast as we could, and found a young woman lying at the side of the road, crying uncontrollably.
And giving me a bit more faith in man-kind, four other people ran over to help as well, an older couple, and a hipster couple. Hipster guy called 911, while my friend and I tried to ask what happened.
Apparently, while she was trying to park on the side of the road, a man jumped into her car with a gun and told her to drive. She tried to jump out of the car, but as she did he drove off, backwards, into a pole, ripping off her car door, and hitting her. She wasn't badly harmed, she just sprained her ankle thank god. But he drove off. My friend stayed with her while I went to hunt down her friend inside the cafe we were heading to. I found her, we talked to the cops, who were extremely nice, as well as the paramedics.
One of the paramedics, trying to cheer her up, was saying, "It's okay, we'll find the guy and beat 'em up. It'll be awesome. Then he'll go to jail and probably get raped."
And oh so luckily, they caught the guy, and she wasn't hurt, aside from a little sprained ankle. It was very hectic!
It's scary to think how much worse it would've been had she not gotten out of the car when she had the chance.
BUT, on a lighter note!
I found super duper cute jeans for only $7.00!

everything was soo cute.

I dunno about you, but I am HORRIBLY picky about jeans.
Maybe it's my awkward shape, but my legs are fairly long and obnoxiously thin compared to my waist,
so usually when I find jeans that fit my overly wide waist, they're too baggy.
Or if I find jeans that fit snug and comfy around my legs, they won't button...
OR, by some miracle I find jeans that fit both.. they're too loose around my ass.
Because apparently, because I have a big waist means I should have a big ass? =/
I hate you, jeans designers. You all suck.
